I live in St. Louis MO & need to get my mom (age 70) into a government subsidised apartment complex. We have one picked out that we both like, but the waiting list is too long. Due to a divorce I'm under a time crunch to get her moved asap. The only one we both feel comfortable with and feel safe about is the AHEPA 53 apartments, but they said it's a 15mo. waiting list. When my mom told them of the urgency of the situation they told her "telling that story won't get you in any faster". Which was rude and demeaning. Does she need a social worker to help her? She only makes $1000. per month & out of that comes Dr.bills & utilities. Can you please give me some advice that will help me get her into those apartments any sooner? Obviously I have no one to help us. Thank you VERY much. Carol Christian
